Female-led native americana trio <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://cactusroselovesyou.com/">Cactus Rose NYC</a> expresses an authentic and rich sonic vision of Appalachian folk and indigenous styles of the southeast with Californian Laurel Canyon sounds. Inspired by Pura Fé, their music is a means of cultural survival — a fusion between past and present and a form of expression that helps them forge a deep connection to Lenapehoking’s urban native community. Opening the show is Stephanie Marie Hall aka the Tennessee MC who hails from Memphis and operates primarily as a resident on the Brooklyn music scene, playing, hosting, and promoting numerous shows around New York City. Expect Hall’s own singular, southern-bred take on Americana. Cactus Rose NYC is a native americana trio featuring indigenous singer-songwriter Kandia Crazy Horse (Pamunkey), indigenous guitarist Lonnie Harrington (Seminole/Shawnee/Cherokee) &amp; guitarist Jeff McLaughlin. Influenced by Richie Havens, Buffalo Springfield, Cherokee folk singer Karen Dalton, and Tuscarora/Taino/black icon Pura Fé, their music focuses on experiences of urban natives and others of Indian Country.
