Dance the night away with the final Wednesday of our four show feature series! The Ukama band will be playing a mixture of Zimbabwean Marimba Music &amp; World Music that you can move to, and is is a marimba ensemble that specializes in traditional and contemporary Zimbabwean music. Based in Bellingham, Washington, the band is extremely high energy, and is sure to have you dancing on your feet! Ukama presents a very unique experience for any audience member. In addition to marimba, the band features guitar, bass, mbira (the traditional instrument of Zimbabwe), hosho, and drum set.The Bellingham Community Marimba Project (BCMP) is a newly-founded studio, aiming to promote, share, and advocate for Zimbabwean marimba music. Founded by director Caden Davis in 2024, the studio is currently in the middle of its first session of classes. A spring session will be offered from late March through the end of the academic year.&nbsp;
