Good music draws you in. New Nostalgia does both - a Chicago-based fusion horn band mixing the jazz, pop and rock flavors together for a sound that’s anything but traditional. “Music for your head and your heart” is how bandleader/arranger/saxist Neil Carson describes the sound of New Nostalgia, featuring intricate arranging for a 5 horn section, virtuosic solos, singable melodies, and unstoppable rock energy. 

Their 2019 debut album was hailed by Downbeat as “power-polychord instrumental rock at its finest,” while their upcoming second album features a delicious blend of originals and covers - including their latest single, a cover of Caroline Polachek’s “So Hot You’re Hurting My Feelings”. New Nostalgia is the recipient of two ISJAC awards and has performed in Chicago, Nashville, Ann Arbor, Cleveland and elsewhere throughout the midwest.
