Along with their own compositions and hits from contemporary Forró artists like Mestrinho, Trio Macaíba, and Dois Dobrado, Foleada plays classics from Luiz Gonzaga, Ary Lobo, Anastacia, Dominguinhos, Gilberto Gil, and more. Dancers will enjoy moving to a range of rhythms including baião, xote, arrasta-pé, xaxado, forró sambado, maracatu and more.Recipient of the 2023 Jack Straw Artist Support Program, Foleada features Jamie Maschler and Gabe Hall-Rodrigues on accordion and vocals, Jeff Busch and Sam Esecson on percussion, Michael Catts on bass, and lead vocalist/percussionist Adriana Giordano from Brazil.
