Duster is a reclusive experimental electronic slowcore(?) band consisting of two multi-instrumentalist members — Ewing Clay Parton and Canaan Dove Amber. Parton sometimes appears as "E. Parton," "C. Parton," or "Clay." Amber sometimes appears as "C. Amber," "D. Amber," or "Dove."
The band formed when Parton and Amber started recording themselves on cassette four-track machines at home in the mid to late 1990s. They released a few records between 1997 and 2000, and then took a brief break until 2018. In 2019, they released a self-titled LP on Muddguts, and Numero Group reissued all their previous records as the "Capsule Losing Contact" box set. In 2022, they released their fourth LP, "Together."
