The Pocket Fuel Groovers are a company of New York City based dancers founded by Nick Alselmo in 2020. Their movement is influenced by contemporary, hip-hop, ballet, house, funk dance styles, and martial arts. By combining these disciplines with elements of theater, DJ-ing, team sport exercises and ideologies, they aim to push the boundaries of what is possible in a performance and communal setting. They have performed at Arts on Site, Abrons Arts Center, The Brick Theater, Triskelion Arts, Center for Performance Research, The Tank, and more. Originally from Rochester, NY, DJ Scenick Roots has been spinning in NYC since 2020 at various rooftop parties, bars, and private events. He’s a dancer/choreographer first and approaches scoring his performances to sound like a DJ set. His seamless transitions between genres will not only have you dancing all night, but open your mind to ways of grooving. He has even played at venues such as Sleepwalk accompanied by his dance company, The Pocket Fuel Groovers tearing up the stage. Sakadachi is a dynamic DJ, music producer, and dancer known for blending diverse musical styles into unforgettable experiences. With a deep passion for rhythm and movement, he seamlessly fuses genres, creating unique soundscapes that ignite dance floors. His broad musical taste and background in dance bring a distinctive energy to his sets, connecting with audiences on a visceral level.
