White Center Halloween Block Party!

Get ready for a hauntingly good time as White Center transforms into a bewitching Halloweentown on October 31st! The neighborhood is brewing up a cauldron of fun for ghouls and goblins of all ages, promising a night to remember.

From 4 pm to the witching hour of 2 am, 16th Ave SW between Roxbury and SW 100th St will be alive with the spirit of Halloween. The street closure begins at high noon, setting the stage for an enchanting evening.

Little monsters can start their trick-or-treating adventure early with a Trunk or Treat extravaganza from 4 pm to 8 pm. Imagine the delight on children's faces as they collect treats from a line of spookily decorated lowriders! Carnival games and family-friendly activities will keep the young ones entertained until the sun goes down.

As night falls, the grown-up ghouls can raise their spirits at beer gardens scattered throughout the area. Live wrestling matches will keep the crowd on the edge of their seats, while pulsating beats from live DJs will have everyone dancing like zombies. Fabulous drag performances and live music will add to the supernatural atmosphere.

But wait, there's more! A neighborhood-wide costume contest is open to all brave souls. The grand prize? Two box suite tickets to a Kraken game – talk about a treat! Aspiring contestants can enter for free at any participating bar, with a schedule to be revealed soon on the White Center Business Alliance page.

As the clock strikes midnight, finalists will gather at Southgate Roller Rink, where a panel of judges will crown the ultimate costume champion. It's sure to be a spine-tingling finale to an already electrifying night!
