Featuring two of Connecticut’s hardest working musicians, P(x3) was founded by drummer Rob Madore and keyboardist/saxophonist Isaac Young. The duo pushes the boundaries of modern dance music, funk, hip-hop, and more in a fully improvised setting. Both Madore and Young have a deep intrinsic connection on stage that sometimes represents a two-headed musical beast bringing a mind-bending live show that has left audiences slack-jawed and awestruck. Both musicians have carved a name for themselves in the regional and national music scene and are now taking their collaborative efforts to a new level. The pair also is known for their work with John Ferrara and Mono Means One. Their latest release, “Piano Percussion Planet” features guitarist Thomas Xavier Kenney of the band Doom Flamingo — an album that further showcases the diverse musical prowess of this dynamic outfit.
Px3’s Monthly Throwdown Thursday is an immersive experience in live jamtronica, taking place every third Thursday. Each month features renowned guest artists, unique themes, and unexpected elements—all in an improvisational setting that pushes boundaries. Join us for a night where music and spontaneity collide, delivering a truly unique performance every time.
This month's special guest is Kiran Edwards! Kiran is a multi-instrumentalist who performs in several projects including his original band Residual Groove.
Also joining us at PCMH for the evening is PEAK. PEAK is a Brooklyn-based quartet featuring songwriter and guitarist Jeremy Hilliard (Turbine), Kito Bovenshulte (Particle) on drums, Josh T. Carter (Hayley Jane and The Primates) on bass, and Johnny Young on keys (Mick Taylor Band). Their third studio album, Vanishing Skies, was released on January 31, 2025. Self-described as Psychedelic Indie Funk, the band jams extensively in their live show and lets the songs speak for themselves on the record. This will be PEAK's Album Release show!
