It</a>’s covid isolation. It’s the planet in the flames of never-ending wars and police brutality. It’s the billionaire with his fingers in the till. A drug addled America goose-stepping her way toward tragedy. Under all these things, it’s the soil from which He Was A God took final shape in summer 2021.Curns is the fifth and ultimate addition to the New Haven, Connecticut metal outfit –brainchildof guitarist, keyboardist, and backing vocalist Tony Pellino. Chris Densky (drums), Dan Perrone (bass) and Ray Zvovushe (lead guitars) cap a lineup of musicians who grew up performing together on stages across the New York City tristate area.In 2023, following a run of live performances that included support for Goatwhore and Katatonia, the band enlisted renowned engineer Ryan Boesch (Melvins, Helmet, Norma Jean) to craft its debut album. The result is Muckraker, an 11-track canon of aggression, hope, rage and optimism. Slated for a February 23, 2024 release, Muckraker swaps personal tragedies of The Smile &amp; The Scar for social and political grievances common to us all. Its punk contrarianism, heavy riffs, and harmonious progressions are wholly He Was A God.After drumming in bands for the past 20 years, Jeff Coleman (ex-Seizure, ex-Bombsite Boys, Clusterfuck, ex-Sonic Supercharger 66) picked up his Fender Strat and banged out some riffs. So on Christmas Day, 2003, he recorded and played the drums, bass, guitars, &amp; vocal tracks on a 4-track in his bedroom. The result? King Sexy. When Jeff gets a line up, he will play guitar &amp; sing. If Dave Grohl (Foo Fighters), Stacy Jones (American Hi-Fi), &amp; Tommy Lee (Motley Crue) can switch from drums to guitar, then so can Jeff !!! Then in the Fall of 2004, a line up got completed! With the addition of Bridgeport Councilman Keith "Cougie" Rodgerson (The Chinese Restaurants, North American Free Jazz Agreement), Tony Senes of the Cosmic Jibaros and regionally acclaimed bodybuilder Frank Z. When 2007 came to a close, Tony &amp; Keith left the band. Yet they were soon replaced by an accomplished jazz drummer named Jan Jurgielewicz on bass and Phil Conine (Frequency Hospital/Puzzle People) on drums. A mini weekend tour is in the works, and the 5-song CD EP, "In Sexycolor" is out now!! But in November 2009, Jan left the band so he can pursue his jazz drumming even further. With the wonders of God-original member Tony returned to King Sexy playing bass at the beginning of 2010!! In the summer of 2010, King Sexy did a "Like a Dog in Sexycolor" 5-date mini tour. They played at a Burlesque show in April 2011 at Daniel St. (RIP) in Milford, CT with Nasty Disaster. With two members being dads, and employment setbacks that Jeff experienced, King Sexy was lucky to play a gig a year. Such as playing a gig with Ultrabunny in 2012 and at Jeff's 50th Birthday Party in 2013. But we are back with a new limited edition live cassette called, "Live Like a Dog In Sexycolor". New songs have been written for an upcoming CD called, "Open wide and say EWWW!!!" In April 2014, another lineup change occurred when Phil left the band due to a family commitment. Tony went back to drums, and the new bassist is Ray Z, Frank's brother. However, in the fall of 2014, Tony left King Sexy due to a family commitment. King Sexy played their 10 year anniversary on December 12, 2014 at the Acoustic in Bridgeport, CT with Talking to Walls, Sonic Supercharger 66, and La Tunda. Jim LoPresti filled in on drums. A few weeks later, Jim was asked if he wanted to join the band, and he accepted. Since then, King Sexy has released an 11-song CD, "Open Wide &amp; Say Ewww!!", have played in CT &amp; NY numerous times, have played at the Black Rock Porchfest since 2018, recorded for a NY Dolls Tribute CD, "Whipped Dolls", and recorded a 12" EP called, "Are You Sexy Enough?" &nbsp;Formed in 2007 and based out of southern CT, Big Moon released their 1st ep “Not Specifically but Basically Yeah” in 2009. In 2015 they took a new direction releasing their 1st full length concept album “Last Night on Earth”. Big Moon harnesses the sounds of Rock, Pop, Punk and Prog, lending a raw energy to their live show. &nbsp;All Out Loud summons the hard and fast sounds of early classic hard rock.
